The research group of Zhang Xiaobing and Yuan Lin of Hunan University developed a fluorescent dye with high brightness, high photostability and large Stokes shift - YueLu dyes. YLs), the active intermediate of this dye (YL578-NHS) can be used for protein labeling; the Halo protein labeling (YL578-Halo and 10-Halo) probes developed based on this dye can be used for proteins with high signal-to-noise ratio Visualization and super-resolution imaging[1][1]

Professor Yuan Lin is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University and the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Biosensing and Metrology.Currently, he has published more than 100 papers in international academic journals, with a total citation of more than 12,000 times, and an h-index of 58.Among them, the first or corresponding author from 2012 to presentJ.
